About This & That Vintage
Since its debut on Instagram in 2019, This & That Vintage has gained recognition for its thoughtfully curated selection of vintage clothing and accessories. Founded by owner Nicole Mata, the boutique reflects her passion for discovering unique pieces and making vintage fashion both accessible and inspiring.
Nicole’s love for vintage began early, sparked by memories of exploring her grandmother’s attic—an enchanting place filled with garments and treasures from another era. Those formative experiences instilled in her a deep appreciation for the craftsmanship, individuality, and stories behind vintage clothing.
Although Nicole later built a career in the modern fashion industry and event planning, her connection to vintage never faded. When the pandemic paused her event planning business, she embraced the opportunity to return to that passion and fully immerse herself in the world of vintage fashion. What began as a carefully curated Instagram shop quickly grew into a destination for collectors, stylists, and vintage lovers alike.
In 2020, This & That Vintage opened its first brick-and-mortar boutique at 792 Route 35 in Cross River, New York, located within the charming Yellow Monkey Village. Over the next five years, the shop welcomed visitors from across the United States and beyond, all searching for one-of-a-kind pieces and hidden gems.
Today, This & That Vintage enters its next chapter. While the Cross River storefront has closed, the brand continues through its online shop and through private shopping experiences at Nicole’s new studio in Manchester, Vermont, located in the historic Equinox Junior building in the heart of Manchester’s Historic District. The studio offers a more personal way for clients to explore the collection, with occasional open-to-the-public shopping days throughout the year.
This & That Vintage specializes in vintage fashion from the early 1990s and earlier, with each piece selected for its distinctive cuts, craftsmanship, details, prints, and timeless style. Nicole remains dedicated to sourcing garments that feel both special and wearable—pieces that allow vintage fashion to continue its story with new owners.
The boutique also welcomes consignors who wish to place their vintage pieces with a knowledgeable and appreciative audience, helping exceptional garments find their next chapter while preserving their place in fashion history.
At its core, This & That Vintage is about more than clothing—it is about celebrating the artistry of past decades and giving remarkable pieces the opportunity to live on.
