An exceptionally rare and captivating example of late 19th to early 20th century luxury craftsmanship, this Continental scent bottle, dating from approximately 1890–1925, features a richly colored faceted amethyst glass body beautifully paired with a precision-cut crystal lower section. The bottle is mounted in 14K gold (.585) and crowned with an exquisitely detailed hinged stopper fashioned as an ornate royal crown. Encircling the base of the crown is vibrant red and green guilloché enamel, its translucent colors shimmering over finely engine-turned gold, while the substantial gold collar and intricate metalwork speak to the exceptional quality of its manufacture. Remarkably, the bottle retains its original cork stopper, still intact beneath the hinged crown—an uncommon survival that speaks to the piece's exceptional state of preservation.
